Dreaming of that Wedding

Lady in the white wedding gown
Her groom no where to be found

Flowers around her all so white
Pure and innocent the color bright

This is the wedding she’s dreaming of
But she’s still trying to find true love

The beautiful makeup ruined by tears
Her wonderful day messed up by fears

The unwanted rain falling from the sky
Not ready to tell her wedding good-bye

She tried to save it with the rain pouring down
Not really caring if she messed up her gown

Searching for the groom and stepping in mud
Tearing at her arm expecting pain and blood

Silly lady not knowing that she should wait
So what if the wedding she’s dreaming of is late

This cannot be the wedding of her dreams
Sound of rain drowned out by her screams

The once white flowers splattered with blood
Her once white dress ruined by mud

Lady should just wait for that special day
And not ruin the gown and flower bouquets

Don’t find just anyone and pretend
Or be like lady and meet your end

I know I’ll be waiting and you will too
To find true love and say the words “I do”

My Butterfly Light wind breezing past me
As I chase after my butterfly
Every time I breathe out
I hear the disappointed sigh

The delicate body oh so close
Yet every time I reach out
I realize how far I really am
And I wonder what this is all about

I just keep moving ahead
When I know that its moving faster
And I tell myself that I’m enjoying this
A smile on my face I plaster

Urging my tired body to run
Telling myself I’m almost there
Until I realize I’m in a place
And I have no idea exactly where

Lost in this dark forest
And the butterfly is out of sight
I feel so small and so alone
In this place without any light

Sweet words or pretty lies? You’re sweet words always bring a smile to my face.
Take me out of my life and to another happy place.
So sweet the words like pieces of my favorite candy.
Am I loved or am I someone who might come in handy?
They always tell me too much candy is bad for me
But just how much candy is way too many?
One bite of the sugary dessert and I want more.
Isn’t it clear that you’re the one that I adore?
But I don’t want to be someone in love
This wonderful daydream I need to snap out of
Because love hurts and is such a pain
But my heart isn’t connected to my brain

NEWS

I was so excited when I got a note that said that I was featured on the Daily Deviants page!! ([link]) I (ME! ME!! ME!!) was featured!!!! "forleafclovgrl is a magnificent up-'n'-coming writer, with a style that I find particularly enchanting. Most of her pieces are short, easy to read, but they tend to leave a lasting effect on the reader. She is spectacular at what she does!" Thank you so much!

I found this new format and wanted to try it out. I haven't really been writing poems since hs started. We are however writing a short epic poem in english and I hope to have that on here in a week. I do believe it will be my most interesting poem yet. Unfortunately, there isn't enough time to make it rhyme. Thank you to everyone who reads my poems.
